I've been working on some Cyborg heads for my Appleseed conversions and they are finally ready for release. They are both supplied as 3d prints on a Form 2 SLA printer. First up are the Standard Versions. And next we have the Enhanced Variants Each one is set of 10 for £7.50 and can be bought from my Etsy store on the links above.

A little project I've been working on for the last week or so is giving the newly promoted Colonel Siege Brisbane to pose he so deserves. I also figured as other people had already modelled him flying on smoke trails I had to try and go one better. So the crazy idea to have his rocket pack lit up with LEDs came to mind and I set to work on Tuesday evening getting the pose right. I had a few flickering LEDs left over from my Hurricane project so I figured I could repurpose them. A bit of filing and colouring later and I had this. I started getting some paint on him on Wednesday and couldn't resist getting a quick video of the lights on with the smoke in place. Then after finishing the painting on Thursday and Friday I present the completed Siege in flight. But lets not forget this little guy. Siege's Rocket Turret
Its taken a few late nights and false starts but my latest conversion project has come to a close. The Bulldog Steamjack for Iron Kingdoms RPG has a lick of paint and is ready to start his adventures.
I switched out the second open fist on this one to more closely resemble the cover art that I was working from. I will be building more and they will join my Toro chassis 'Jacks as the light 'Jacks for my Ordic Army themed Mercenary Army. So expect Buccaneers, Talons and more... I finally managed to put some time in tonight and finish off the Bulldog build. I haven't been able to more than a few minutes at a time lately so it hasn't been worth an update but I finally put the finishing touches on it tonight.
Next step is build and paint. I spent some more time on my Bulldog chassis conversion for IKRPG. I mainly added bulk to the torso while defining the 2 panels either side of the head. I also cleaned off the rivets from around the head cowl ready for scribing the panel lines in. I was planning of continuing on Monday night but a trip to the cinema to see Blade Runner 2049 put that idea to bed.
I did get some work done tonight though adding the first 2 smoke stacks and the grille in front as well as smoothing Sunday's work. I then started on the shoulder pads but decided to only do one as I have a nasty habit of sticking my finger in stuff I've already sculpted. I did some work on the arms too but after photography I decided I didn't like it so I'll re-do that another day. I've been meaning to upload these for a while now. I made some maps for use in the first of the additional encounters from the Immortality book, 'Blood in the Water' It takes place on the Sundown, a Cynaran Paddlesteamer, but there are no battle maps available so I created my own. Feel free to download them for your own use. They should be scaled correctly so print them tiled/poster with no scaling. The areas are numbered but there is no legend so you can freely decide for yourself what each area is.
I've been looking at the front cover of Iron Kingdoms Urban Adventure for ages now trying to work out the best way to build the steamjack on it. It finally occured to me that there aren't any Privateer Press 'Jacks that look sufficiently like it to just by one and do a little converting and that I would have to do most of the work myself. I did identify that the head and neck area has most in common with the old classic Cygnar Charger so that is where I started. After cutting away the oh too tiny legs and grafting on a new bulky pair I then needed to created the larger arm ball mounts for the new size 'Jack. Would you believe that the perfect size hemisphere is the inside of the wrist joint on the Dire Troll Mauler kit. So I created a putty cast of the inside with a loop of wire inside to help remove it afterwards and to act as pins to attach it to the body and the fitted them once they were dry.
Lastly for now was trimming down some Cygnar Minuteman arms to fit (as they are the only double open fist light 'Jack arms in the game and I want this to be versatile for Role Play) and blue tacking them on for a photo. Next up will be building up the torso and finding some new smoke stacks. I posted up an idea in the Trollbloods group on facebook about using the plastic Warders kit and the bison from tue War Wagon to make some beefed up Longrider models. Well they called me crazy no naturally I had to give it a go and here is the first one completed.
So the website has had a bit of a facelift and I now have an Etsy shop to handle selling my products. Click the picture below to get there.
Hopefully I'll also have some more products coming in the near future but I've got an Infinity tournament to prep for for next weekend so this is where I'm at now. I've actually been painting some terrain lately. I don't think I have actually written a blog post about painting terrain yet. Mainly because I don't paint terrain. But I decided that my Infinity table that I'm building needs a lick of paint so I started with a few buildings from the Forward Base Kickstarter from Antenocitis Workshop. Now they come pre-painted but the colours available didn't fit too well with the USAriadna Outpost theme of my table so I sprayed everything except the roof dark grey and proceeded to add the camo pattern. Just got the Internal panels from Hab 10 to go now then finished and back to some mini painting.
I got out my Spectre and Grenzer from the Nomad Starter set to paint and thought why not get all my un-based figures out and do all the bases at the same time. I honestly can't remember the point at which I realised I was actually painted the Alguacles instead of the Spectre and Grenzer but I thought I might as well finish them so here they are. Up next then will hopefully be the Spectre and Grenzer unless I get distracted again.
Models Painted in 2016: 10.5 Having got hold of the awesome new Nomad Spectre with Boarding Shotgun I thought it was time to try something a bit different. Here he is painted in his standard state As he is the only TO Camo trooper available to the Nomads I thought he deserved the clear cast treatment. But I still wanted to paint him so I came up with the idea of having him entering/exiting camo. I also managed to finish converting the Nomad Zond Remotes. Models Painted in 2016: 4 1/2
Over the Christmas holidays I was very busy with family stuff but did manage to squeeze in a bunch of converting. All of it Infinity related.
After all that converting I felt I need to get back to doing some painting so I cracked on with the Securitate as a test scheme for the Tunguska element of my Nomad force. When I was happy with the scheme I knocked out the Interventor pretty quickly after that. The next project is giving the Zond Remotes the Monstrous Makings treatment with a few upgrades then onto some more painting.
Models Painted in 2016: 3 It seems I have painted quite a bit since my last update so without further ado here they are. First up is the Dozer Engineer, then Spec-Ops and then my converted Hardcase Irregular. the Last set are my final Grunts (for now) 3 Heavy Flamers and a Paramedic. Also been up to some converting lately too. Here is my newest Devil Dog unit, only slight conversions on the big guy this time, changing his revolver for a semi-automatic and upgrading his knife to a proper AP CCW. Models painted in 2015: 64
After a little hiatus and some time spent converting the next batch I got back to painting the USAriadna force. This time I've added a pair of Foxtrot Rangers converted from Hasslefree Miniatures Modern Troopers range and the Devil Dogs unit from the Army Box. Models Painted in 2015: 57
I got a little focused on my USAriadna stuff and kinda left the Nomads by the wayside, so last week I thought I pick them up and get painting again. Unfortunately I ran out of Red paint so I couldn't finish them last week but they are done now. The light has kinda washed some of the colour out, they look much better in person but I couldn't get a better picture at 1AM. Models Painted in 2015: 52
This guy missed the last update as I still needed to glue the acrylic to the base. So here he is. Intruder with MULTI Sniper Rifle. Models Painted in 2015: 53
Finally sourced a Policeman for my HVT/Civvie and got him painted up last night. He looks like he is leaning forward but in reality the bike is leaning over and he is standing up straight. Models Painted in 2015: 47
I've painted quite a bit since the last update so here goes. First up are the other Mavericks And now the second group of Grunts. And finally a WIP of a little side project. A Police Bike that will form part of my HVT (High Value Target) for ITS Missions or Civvie for YAMS Missions. Models Painted in 2015: 46
I've got a few more Grunts done for my USAriadna today. Looking back at the first model I painted though I think I need to lighten up the camo a bit. Maybe add some more of the light green. Model Painted in 2015: 40
I got a shifty on painting my Infinity figures. Got the whole Nomad section of the Operation: Icestorm box. Models Painted in 2015: 28
July was a bit of a slow month for painting with moving house for the second time this year. I did manage to get some painting done though. And now for something a bit different. I bought into the Infinity: The Game from Corvus Beli earlier in the year but never actually got round to painting any models, but with the announcement of the USAriadna sub-faction it kickstarted my interest again so here is my first painted Infinity model. Cpt. Van Zant of the Airbourne Rangers. I wasn't too happy with the original pose and seeing as he comes with a few cool option like the pack and cigar I decided he needed some converting. One flaw with the Infinity line of models is that they don't always show all of the weapons that a model has on the actual model. So to rectify this and keep the cool options I reposed his right arm with the gun and cut up the pack so it fit straight on his back instead of being slung over his shoulder. I also wanted the cigar but that left him with no axe so that got attached to the pack too. Models Painted in 2015: 19
I seem to have gotten a bit behind on my posting. I've got quite alot painted lately so here they are. Models Painted in 2015 : 14

ChrisI've been into wargaming since I was 8 and this is an attempt to document my hobby progress. It may well just prove my 'ooh shiny' sydrome. We'll just have to wait and see. Archives
