Magos Scratchbuildicus has reawakened and started to Scratch Build again. I decided last weekend that I wanted a few more fliers for my Chaos so the Magos started work on 3 Hell Blade fighters. After 4 evenings work I've got 1 almost complete and the others well on the way. I've sculpted then cast the Reaper Auto-cannons and I still need to get 3 more cast. The engines and underside thrusters are also more detailed than the first 2. I also need to sort out some tubing for behind the cockpit.

Having said yesterday I was going to paint the resin head I thought I'd better get to it. so here it is
Having finished sculpting the head over Christmas I took it into work and our Creative Director helped my smooth out some of the rough edges before pouring a mould on it. 2 days later and I get to pour both a ceramic resin version to paint and a polyurethane version to add to the rest of the sculpt. Keep a look out for the painted head as I try out the colour scheme.
Taking inspiration from a friend I am going to keep a log of my painting activities during 2013 and here is where it begins. Warcasters Captain Kara Sloan and Commander Adept Sebastian Nemo for my Cygnar. Next of on the paint station is a Centurion and Stormclad Heavy 'Jacks. Models painted in 2013: 2
Progress continues with the pustules added and a basecoat on the metallic areas on the top half. I'm gonna try and use the GW Spray gun to paint the main green colours for the hull and see how that plays out. |
ChrisI've been into wargaming since I was 8 and this is an attempt to document my hobby progress. It may well just prove my 'ooh shiny' sydrome. We'll just have to wait and see. Archives
