Well I've finished sculpting the head to my satisfaction. And here it is mounted on the body and sculpted the join. It is now sat in my troll cave waiting to be set up ready for a mould. These also mark the first photos taken in my new lightbox, I hope the quality looks better.

A little update on the Zoat, I completed the teeth last night and boy do i wish there was a save button when sculpting. After chatting to a few guys at work I've worked out that it will probably be better to sculpt the head of the Zoat out of wax instead of Green Stuff. This means I can spend as long as I want sculpting it and it wont cure so I can be as picky as I want. I does however mean that I need to make a mould of the sculpt before I can attach it to the model, oh well. So here are a few pics of the progress so far. Well this marks the completion of the first project from this blog. My Battle Standard Bearer has fought in his first 3 battles and had his paint job completed. He even accounted for an Empire Steam Tank in his final game. I don't think I'll be entering a competitive game without this guy any more. Well I think it's time for the piccys. I finally found a suitable mount the other day for my monstrous Battle Standard Bearer. The Schleich Wolverine is the right scale and fits with the 'comes from the north' element of the army. Add a primitive saddle and tack and here you go. Just need to prime and paint it now.
As I'm running the Christmas 40k event at my local gaming club, STAGS, I've decided to create a trophy that can be displayed in the window at Questing Knight Games to proclaim the winner each year. So here is my Christmas 40k Champion Trophy WIP shots. Next up is sorting out the base for it and getting it painted. Along with my own kill team for the event. Here it is completed. A bit shiny but that's mainly the flash

ChrisI've been into wargaming since I was 8 and this is an attempt to document my hobby progress. It may well just prove my 'ooh shiny' sydrome. We'll just have to wait and see. Archives
